In the age of sensors: Eye-tracking controls high-tech weapons, moves robotic arms and controls the wakefulness of pilots and truck drivers.
For the world premiere at WIEN MODERN 2018 Boris Hegenbart makes this surveillance technology musically usable: While David Moss as a singer and speaker feeds Hegenbart’s sound machines, they scan and track the body of the voice performer. Every movement, every blink of the eye is recorded by different sensors and converted into control data. With this data stream, the voice is electronically manipulated in real time.
A highly sensitive circuit of cause, reaction and result.
